About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Indianapolis, Indiana, 46237!

Job Title

Travel RN – Adult Intensive Care Unit (3x12's – Days)

Indianapolis, Indiana

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Adult Intensive Care Unit with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and manage care for critically ill patients including those with sepsis, respiratory failure, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, and psychiatric disorders
  • Manage care of mechanically ventilated patients utilizing hemodynamic monitoring devices
  • Operate unit equipment including Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, and EV1000
  • Document and manage patient records using Epic EMR
  • Float to other patient care areas as needed when the home unit is at low census
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license valid for practice in Indiana
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Demonstrated comprehensive assessment skills
  • Experience caring for septic patients and mechanically ventilated patients with hemodynamic monitoring
  • Ability to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
  • Prior experience with Epic EMR
