Job Description
The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for the delivery
of reports, dashboards, business needs and analytic specifications for Crystal Run
Healthcare. These specifications will directly result in solutions
that support financial and operational decision making processes across the
enterprise. The BI Analyst will work with end users to determine stakeholder
requirements and translate them into the appropriate specifications. The
BI Analyst will work closely with the architectural and development teams to assure
the written specifications are understood and applied appropriately.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Gather report requirements and understand Crystal Run Healthcare's
    strategic goals and ensure request is in alignment with these goals.

    • Critically evaluate information gathered from
      multiple sources.
    • Decompose high-level information into
      details.
    • Distinguish user requests from the underlying
      true needs.
    • Provide creative solutions to problems.

  • Ability to decompose stakeholders needs into well-structured
    documented requirements and specification. All documentation will be
    according to standard templates.
  • Present alternative BI solutions for customer, using creative-thinking
    expertise and solution prototypes, to ensure effective reporting/analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written
    communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a
    diverse group that includes clinicians, management, and subject matter
    experts.
  • Ability to work
    independently to provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating,
    and developing specifications and procedures that meet user requirements
  • Successfully engage in
    multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Interviewing stakeholders,
    facilitating workgroups, prototyping process flows and business rules.
  • Business requirements gathering, which describe the higher-level
    needs of the organization as a whole.

  • Solution requirements gathering, which describe features,
    functions, and characteristics of the product, service, or result that will
    meet the business and stakeholder requirements.
    This includes functional requirements that describe the behaviors of the
    product and non-functional requirements that describe the environmental
    conditions or qualities required for the product to be effective.

BI Data Analysis and Design:
  • Based on User Requirements Documentation, collaborate with the
    development team and subject matter experts to define solutions to develop
    the architecture of the selected reporting solution.
  • Work with development team to design and develop high performing
    data solutions which meet the needs satisfy the BI requirements.
  • Design creative BI components for the delivery of dashboards,
    scorecards, delivered reports, ad hoc queries, extracts and analytics
    using the MS Suite of tools, QlikView, as well as other platforms.
  • Create QA test cases/test steps to ensure quality assurance of BI
    output.
  • Work with end users to ensure user acceptance testing and a
    complete delivery of reporting/analysis solution.
  • Responsible for QA testing the entire solution to ensure that it is
    ready for user acceptance testing.

Qualifications
JOB
REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in
    computer science, information systems or engineering
  • Experience with development lifecycle methodology, healthcare
    specific environment
  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle and related QA
    processes.

    • Exposure to healthcare business concepts

  • Excellent written and oral
    communication skills
  • Experience in revenue cycle, general ledger and physician compensation
    strongly preferred
  • Experience in the process of determining, documenting, and managing
    stakeholder needs and requirements to meet stated goals and objectives.
