At St. Anthony Hospital, our Laboratory department is a blood bank that performs testing for our Level 1 Trauma center, as well as sister hospitals in the region. With innovative technology and instruments, our team does a vast array of inhouse testing and specialized coagulation testing. Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center where we provide a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region through our state-of-the-art medical campus and home base for Flight For Life Colorado. With four trauma rooms including the T-10 room, a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams, our staff can provide life-saving care to the most severely ill and injured patients. Job Summary: 

Join our team as a Medical Lab Scientist! This position accurately analyzes and reports all tests ordered by the Medical Staff in a timely manner and according to laboratory procedures and regulatory guidelines  to aid in the diagnosis and  treatment of patients.


In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate Degree Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA.

Certification Preferred: 

  • Medical Laboratory Scientist-ASCP Required MLS with ASCP certification, or MT/MLT with ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification, or specialty ASCP certification in the assigned department required within 6 months of hire.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training: 

  • 1 year related work experience preferred.
  • Must be appropriately trained in clinical laboratory science as evaluated by the Director of the Clinical Laboratory
