Location: Rochester, NY
Salary: $22-$25/hour + Commission 
Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Tool Ranch is seeking a driven, energetic, and customer focused Inside Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for professional contractors and industrial customers, helping them find the right premium equipment for their projects. Tool Ranch Rochester is a contractor supply store in Rochester, New York. The store features a drive through for fast pickups, a large tool and supply showroom, and a full warehouse for bulk orders. What Youโ€™ll Do 

  • Customer Service: Greet and assist walk-in and call-in customers, providing expert product recommendations and technical solutions

  • Order Management: Process sales orders, quotes, returns, and special orders accurately using our point-of-sale (POS) system

  • Account Growth: Maintain and build relationships with existing accounts while identifying new sales opportunities through proactive follow-ups 

  • Product Expertise: Showcase and sell top-tier, industry-leading brands, serving as the resident expert on premium gear

  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with inventory, warehouse, and outside sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction

What Weโ€™re Looking For 
 

  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in inside sales, customer service, or retail counter sales (experience in hardware, construction, or industrial supplies is highly preferred)
  • Brand Knowledge: Deep familiarity with major name brands like Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Makita, and the ability to articulate their unique selling points

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional phone etiquette

  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with construction applications, tool specifications, and a strong willingness and ability to learn quickly
     

  • Tech Skills: Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic Microsoft Office Suite
 
  • Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs
