WE LOVE OUR WORK.
  • Responsible for the placement and upkeep of internal advertising displays.
  • Assists in writing rules and regulations for promotions and events. Submits to Manager and/or Mississippi Gaming Commission for approvals according to established guidelines.
  • Assists in execution of promotions and events on property or off-site.
  • Responsible for inputting offers within applicable systems for promotional drawings and giveaways according to established guidelines.
  • Assists with audio visual (AV) duties as needed. AV duties include but are not limited to the setup, operation, adjustments, service and repair of digital displays, televisions, sound and lighting equipment, video monitors, projectors, wire and cable, and related equipment for concerts, presentations, promotions, or any other property events. Reports issues to leadership.
  • Responsible for serving as a liaison between the property and the guest for gaming tournaments (including but not limited to slots, poker, and table games).
  • Processes purchase orders and check requests for the Marketing Department.
  • Assists with creation of social media and video contact as assigned.
  • Coordinates and tracks groups responding to special and VIP party events. Dresses in appropriate uniform/attire based upon event, including costumes.
  • Assists with photo and video content for timely posting on organic social media sites.
  • Attends property events and activities as assigned.
  • Maintains and updates website content in collaboration with Corporate Marketing.
  • Provides internal support related to each special event, promotion, or entertainment.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. 
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Associate degree (A.A.) in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related area; six months to one-year years in advertising or client services; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in hospitality industry and resort setting preferred.
  • Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Must have demonstrated ability to drive toward results.
  • Strong client interface and presentation skills preferred.
  • Must be able to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends, as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
