How much do commission bank accountant jobs pay per year?

As of Jun 17, 2026, the average yearly pay for commission bank accountant in the United States is $68,326.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $53,500.00 and $78,500.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

Can you make $100,000 as an accountant?

A Commission Bank Accountant's salary can vary based on experience, location, and the size of the bank. While some senior or specialized accountants may earn $100,000 or more, entry-level positions typically pay less, and reaching that level often requires additional certifications and years of experience.

What is a commission accountant?

A commission accountant is a finance professional responsible for calculating, recording, and verifying commissions earned by sales staff or agents. They ensure accurate commission payments, maintain financial records, and often use accounting software to track sales data and commissions. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of accounting principles are essential for this role.

Can you make $500,000 a year as an accountant?

Commission bank accountants typically do not earn $500,000 annually, as most salaries are below that level. High earnings in accounting usually come from senior roles, executive positions, or specialized fields such as forensic or tax accounting, often combined with bonuses or commissions. Achieving such a high income generally requires extensive experience, advanced certifications, and a leadership position within a large organization.

Will AI replace accountants in 50 years?

Commission bank accountants perform financial analysis and reporting, and while AI can automate routine tasks like data entry and reconciliation, it is unlikely to fully replace accountants in 50 years due to the need for judgment, ethical considerations, and complex decision-making. Accountants will continue to adapt by integrating AI tools into their workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
