Description
Are you a driven, technically-minded sales professional who thrives on closing high-value capital equipment deals? We are seeking a Bakery Equipment Sales Representative to spearhead our growth within the industrial cookie, cracker, and energy bar sectors.
In this "hunter" role, you will act as a consultant to industrial bakeries and snack brands, helping them optimize production through state-of-the-art machinery-from dough mixers and rotary moulders to high-capacity cooling tunnels and integrated packaging systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Prospect and qualify new opportunities through aggressive networking, LinkedIn outreach, and industry events.
  • Consultative Selling: Conduct deep-dive needs assessments to propose tailored machinery solutions (e.g., wire-cut systems, lamination lines, or extrusion for energy bars).
  • Technical Leadership: Lead equipment demonstrations and bakery trials at customer plants or our corporate test centers.
  • Full Sales Cycle Management: Manage complex 6-18 month sales cycles, including ROI justification, contract negotiation, and coordination with engineering teams.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of trends in automation, energy efficiency, and clean-label processing (gluten-free/plant-based).
  • CRM Excellence: Maintain meticulous records in Salesforce to ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline management.

Requirements
What You Bring
  • Experience: 3-8+ years of B2B sales experience in capital equipment (food processing or packaging preferred).
  • Track Record: Proven ability to close six- and seven-figure deals within industrial manufacturing.
  • Technical Savvy: A strong understanding of snack production (rotary moulding, laminating, sandwiching, OEE improvements).
  • Network: An existing book of contacts within industrial bakeries or co-packers is highly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, or Business is a plus.
  • Mobility: Valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively across the US.

Salary Description
$90,000-$140,000 + Commission
