Underwriting Assistant
Join a growing and customer-focused insurance agency that has been serving clients since 2010. Our client offers a collaborative team environment, strong benefits, and opportunities to build a long-term career in the insurance industry.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare online quotes and assist with issuing commercial and personal insurance policies
Process policy filings, ID cards, submissions, and billing activities
Gather client information and maintain accurate data entry within agency systems
Support daily underwriting and customer service operations while meeting deadlines
Required Skills & Experience
1-3 years of experience in commercial property & casualty insurance, policy administration, or customer service within an insurance agency or brokerage
Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and client relationship skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
Ability to work onsite in Brooklyn, NY and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience using CRM or agency management systems such as Salesforce, QQCatalyst, or AMS360
Familiarity with commercial and personal lines insurance processing
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive W2 base salary paid bi-weekly plus monthly commission opportunities
