Requirements
Working Hours: Tuesday and Friday 8:30AM-3:00PM
Job Functions:
. Responsible for efficient operations of commissary services at Shelby County Jail.
. Distributing individual commissary orders to inmates in assigned housing locations.
. Documenting any shortages or mishaps with commissary orders in a clear fashion.
. Properly communicating with the Site Manager and facility to ensure customer satisfaction.
. Assist Site Manager in keeping a clean work area and exceptional level of organization.
. Facilitate commissary pickup and delivery with the truck drivers as well as Inmate Worker Supervisors.
Summary:
. Represent Kimble's Corrections in a positive manner at all times.
. Ensure efficiency and client satisfaction amongst the commissary department.
. Adhere to all security regulations and procedures outlined by the assigned facility.
. Carry out any duties assigned by management
Minimum Requirements:
. Read and comprehend documentation written at a nationally accepted high school level.
. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
. Ability to work in a secure corrections environment.
. Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
. Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
Abilities Required:
. Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time.
. Lift items weighing up to sixty (60) pounds to a height of 54 inches
. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
. Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
Salary Description
$17.00
