General Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Commercialization Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the successful launch and commercialization of our dietary supplement bulk powder and capsule products. Your primary focus will be to oversee the transition from powder base product development to production, while maintaining cost efficiency and quality control. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and have a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure that design for manufacturability (DFM) principles are incorporated into bulk powder and capsule product designs.
  • Serve as a technical expert for new product introductions, regarding commercialization conditions, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Develop and document clear, repeatable scale-up instructions for Production and Quality teams, including blend parameters, equipment settings, and in-process checks.
  • Design and execute process validation protocols (e.g., blend uniformity, fill weight verification, encapsulation performance) to ensure product integrity and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to ensure a smooth production ramp-up, addressing any technical issues that may arise.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges during scale-up or production, identifying root causes and implementing effective, timely solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive cost analysis to optimize product manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Work closely with quality control teams to establish robust quality control processes and procedures.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch and make necessary adjustments to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to commercialization and share knowledge with the team.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in commercialization, manufacturing, or related roles; ideally dietary supplement experience in the solid dose sector for bulk powders and capsules
  • Strong technical background and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the nutraceuticals industry.
