Commercial Project Manager / Field ENGINEER

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager / Field Engineer to lead and coordinate solar projects from inception to completion.

Duties

  • Ecojiva 's (EPC) Engineering, Procurement and Construction division is seeking a FIELD Engineer supporting solar, battery and EV chargers projects design and construction.
  • In this position, you will be responsible for managing sub contractors and supervise all renewable projects.
  • Project engineering responsibilities span from initial concept definition to construction and final commissioning and require continuous coordination with diverse project stakeholders such as environmental, procurement, transmission services, and project managers for both early stage and construction.
  • A successful candidate will have experience applying value engineering to balance reliability, cost, and performance for complex systems, along with thorough knowledge of the various applicable engineering disciplines including electrical, structural, civil, and materials.
  • A successful candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communications skills, along with a record of coordinating project stakeholders and mobilizing teams of engineers to achieve business objectives.
  • A preferred candidate will have experience successfully managing schedules and budgets for major capital projects.
  • Oversee construction site activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate project schedules using project management software to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Manage project budgets, track costs, and implement cost control measures to stay within financial targets.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and contracts to guide on-site activities.
  • Lead and manage teams of contractors and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and maintaining high performance standards.
  • Monitor construction progress through regular site inspections, progress reports, and quality assurance checks.
  • Ensure adherence to construction regulations and environmental policies while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction site management or as a field engineer on solar projects.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, project coordination, and cost management techniques.
  • Ability to read detailed construction plans and schematics accurately.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Familiarity with construction regulatory compliance and safety protocols.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
  • Commercial construction experience is highly preferred; familiarity with managing solar projects is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Energy or Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years managing managing Commercial Electrical Infrastructure projects .
  • 2 years of Solar, Storage and Battery Implementation experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of NEC code
  • Current driver’s license to travel to job sites
