Job description

Commercial Roofing Project Manager

Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Pay: $90,000 - $110,000

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Project Manager with a strong background in commercial roofing systems. This individual will oversee projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring quality execution, safety, and profitability while leading field crews and coordinating with internal teams, clients, and the sales department. Experience with low-slope roofing, standing seam metal, tile, and shingle roofing systems is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial roofing projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Oversee projects involving low-slope roofing systems, standing seam metal, tile, and shingle roofing.
  • Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, material approvals, and all required project documentation.
  • Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal operations teams to maintain schedules and project quality.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team and Operations Team throughout the project lifecycle to ensure a seamless transition from estimating through project completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement schedules, and production timelines.
  • Monitor job costs, labor productivity, change orders, and project profitability.
  • Ensure projects are completed in accordance with OSHA regulations, manufacturer specifications, company policies, and quality standards.
  • Maintain strong communication with owners, architects, consultants, general contractors, and clients while proactively resolving project issues.
  • Conduct project meetings and provide regular progress updates to internal leadership and customers.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing commercial roofing projects from award through closeout.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems including:
    • TPO
    • EPDM
    • PVC
    • Modified Bitumen
    • Built-Up Roofing (BUR)
    • Standing Seam Metal Roofing
    • Tile Roofing
    • Shingle Roofing
  • Experience preparing and managing submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, project documentation, and closeout packages.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Estimating, Operations, and Field Production teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
