Commercial Lending Assistant (Commercial Loan Administration & Portfolio Support)

About the Role

Seeking an experienced Commercial Lending Assistant to support Commercial Loan Officers and the Commercial Lending Team with loan administration, portfolio management, client service, documentation review, and loan servicing activities. This role requires strong banking knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining compliance and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and operational support to Commercial Loan Officers.

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of commercial loan portfolios.

  • Serve as a liaison between lenders, clients, vendors, and internal departments.

  • Review, assemble, and prepare loan documentation for accuracy and compliance.

  • Create, maintain, and organize commercial loan files.

  • Process loan advances, pay-downs, account transfers, and wire transfers.

  • Monitor exception reports, clear exceptions, and assist with overdraft reviews.

  • Coordinate loan closings and ensure all required approvals, signatures, and documentation are completed before funding.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for loan administration inquiries.

  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and lending-related documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, policies, and procedures.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a banking, commercial lending, credit administration, or loan operations environment.

  • Strong understanding of commercial loan documentation and loan servicing processes.
