Job description

PRODUCTION MANAGER

Growth Services is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our landscape maintenance operations throughout the Greater Houston area. This is an opportunity to join a growing commercial landscape company where people, quality, and customer service are our top priorities.

The production manager is responsible for leading field operations, developing high-performing crews, maintaining exceptional property standards, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. This role is ideal for a servant leader who enjoys coaching others, solving problems, and delivering outstanding results for clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct the daily operations of multiple commercial landscape maintenance crews.
  • Schedule labor, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure all properties meet or exceed company quality standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct routine quality control inspections and proactively address deficiencies.
  • Train, coach, and develop Foremen and crew members in leadership, safety, horticultural practices, and equipment operation.
  • Monitor labor hours, production goals, and job costs to meet profitability targets.
  • Partner with Account Managers to ensure excellent communication and exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure irrigation systems are functioning properly and coordinate necessary repairs.
  • Perform regular job site safety inspections and maintain compliance with all company safety policies.
  • Complete daily reports, timekeeping, scheduling, inspections, and documentation using Aspire.
  • Manage equipment, vehicles, and materials to ensure proper care and accountability.
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial landscape maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial landscape maintenance, irrigation, horticulture, and equipment operation.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop field employees.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing labor budgets and production schedules.
  • Experience with Aspire or similar landscape management software preferred.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk uneven terrain, inspect properties, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel between multiple client properties throughout the greater Houston area.
