Opportunity Overview

A respected and growing insurance organization is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join its service team in the Greater Houston area.

This role is critical to supporting client relationships, managing policy servicing, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The position works closely with producers, clients, and carriers to review policies, prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and maintain strong client retention.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in commercial insurance servicing.


Key Responsibilities

• Review new business and renewal applications in a timely manner
• Quote and negotiate commercial insurance coverages with multiple carriers
• Prepare comprehensive proposals for clients and prospects
• Bind and issue policies and assist with premium collection
• Conduct periodic service calls for designated client accounts
• Maintain detailed documentation to minimize errors & omissions exposure
• Perform detailed reviews of existing client policies and coverage needs
• Maintain working knowledge of agency procedures and insurance guidelines


Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of commercial insurance experience
Active Texas Property & Casualty license (or transferable license from another state)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
• Ability to manage multiple client requests and deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Applied Epic or similar agency management systems
• Industry designations such as CIC, CPCU, ARM, or CRM
