Job description

Vice President of Commercial Insurance
Location: Dallas, TX (In-Office)
Total Compensation: Up to $175,000
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Commercial Insurance to lead and scale our commercial lines division. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, shaping sales strategy, and leading a high-performing team focused on complex commercial accounts.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in commercial insurance, a strong understanding of market dynamics, and a proven ability to grow profitable books of business in competitive environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all sales and revenue-generating activities for large commercial insurance accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive profitable growth within commercial lines
  • Analyze market trends, carrier relationships, and product offerings to identify growth opportunities
  • Partner with marketing to enhance qualified lead generation specific to commercial insurance
  • Establish, track, and optimize sales KPIs; provide hands-on coaching to elevate team performance
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and full P&L accountability for the division
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term expansion and operational efficiency strategies
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop top commercial insurance sales talent

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of leadership experience specifically within commercial insurance (required)
  • Demonstrated success managing and growing commercial accounts
  • Active General Lines Property & Casualty (P&C) license (required)
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, underwriting, and carrier relationships
  • Proven experience creating, analyzing, and presenting sales analytics to drive strategic decisions, performance management, and revenue growth
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability in a competitive market
  • Experience leading, coaching, and scaling high-performing sales teams

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work in-office in the Dallas, TX area
  • Minimum travel - Visit local company owned retail agencies to encourage agent referrals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills preferred) and business systems
