Commercial Electrical Project Manager – Drive Commercial Electrical Construction Success and Team Development


Job Overview

  • Location: Prosper, Texas (Onsite with 20% travel required)

The Opportunity

You will take full ownership of high-impact commercial electrical projects, leading complex installations from award through final successful closeout. This leadership role grants you the authority to manage multi-million dollar budgets, optimize financial profitability, and build long-term relationships with premier General Contractors. You will serve as a foundational pillar within our management team, actively helping build systems, teams, and scalable company success.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Direct commercial electrical construction projects from initial award through to final profitable closeout.
  • Formulate precise project schedules, operational budgets, labor tracking metrics, and comprehensive financial reports.
  • Coordinate daily procurement, equipment deliveries, and jobsite logistics to eliminate operational field delays.
  • Analyze incoming requests for information, technical submittals, and contract change orders to safeguard project margins.
  • Cultivate respectful, highly professional communication lines with General Contractors, vendors, owners, and leadership.
  • Support field Superintendents and Foremen proactively to reinforce safety, build morale, and clear project obstacles.
  • Evaluate real-time labor productivity and job costing data to ensure projects hit all financial milestones.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Active and valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License.
  • 8+ years of professional electrical experience, focused heavily on commercial construction documents and processes.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects simultaneously while protecting baseline profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm under heavy pressure and proactively solve complex structural or logistical obstacles.
  • This role is client facing, must have excellent communication skills and be able to work both with internal and external teams.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Completion of a formal electrical trade program or technical certification at the Journeyman or Master Electrician level.
  • Advanced experience operating construction software platforms including Procore and Trimble Viewpoint Spectrum ERP.
  • Prior experience managing commercial ground-up electrical installations and coordinating directly with commercial General Contractors.
  • Background in developing standard operating systems that improve overall workforce efficiency and material control.
