Commercial Pipe Fitter/Mechanical Installer

Looking for a Commercial Pipe Fitter to join our team! We are hiring for a mechanical contractor in the North Austin area!

No Travelers, No per diem

COMMERCIAL PIPEFITTER JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for installing and repairing mechanical piping systems in the heat transfer, compressed air, and material handling systems.

PIPEFITTER JOB DUTIES:

  • Install various types of pipes and utilizing blueprints.
  • Measure and cut various sizes of pipe and tubing to required angle length using pipe power tools.
  • Threading and assembling of all types of pipe and tubing including PVC, Copper, and Black Pipe.
  • Connect piping systems with fittings, tack welding, or threaders.
  • Install valves, hangers, supports and flanges in mechanical piping systems.
  • Test pipes to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Repair defective pipe.
  • Perform all other job duties as needed.

PIPE FITTER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years of recent verifiable experience with pipefitting.
  • Experience in installing pipe in commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Personal hand tools are required for pipefitting.
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination.
  • Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work overtime if needed.
