Estimator for Window Cleaning Services

Houston, TX โ€ข On-site

Fish Window Cleaning
Facilities Support Servicesย โ€ขย 1 - 5K employees

$18 - $22/hr

Part-time

Posted 5 days ago

Job description

Fish Window Cleaning is hiring an Estimator to be the face of our company out in the field. This is a hands-on, in-person role - not a closing job!
Your work is to visit commercial properties, walk the building, assess their windows & other factors, and write an estimate. Your job is to provide pricing - you are not responsible for following up or closing the sale. If you'd rather be outside, meeting people, and making connections than sitting at a desk, this is the perfect role for you!
What You'll Do
  • Visit commercial businesses in person - retail strips, restaurants, offices, storefronts
  • Introduce yourself and Fish, and ask for the decision-maker
  • Walk each property, assess and count the glass that needs cleaning
  • Write accurate, professional estimates using our pricing system
  • Log each estimate so it flows cleanly into our system
  • Target: approximately 60-75 written estimates per week, based on the schedule you set

Paid hourly for time worked. The estimate target is the performance standard for the role - there's no sales quota and no commission tied to closing.
Schedule & Pay
Schedule: You set your own schedule - build it around classes or other commitments, then keep roughly the same hours each week, 20-25 hours/week. The only constraint: your working hours must start no earlier than 8 am and end no later than 5 pm.
Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour, part-time
Estimated annual earnings: Based on 20-25 hours/week at $18-22/hr, this works out to roughly $18,720-$28,600/year, depending on the hours and rate you land at.
What You'll Need
  • Reliable personal vehicle, car insurance and a valid driver's license - you'll drive between stops
  • Comfortable outdoors and on your feet for several hours at a time, including in Texas summer heat
  • Presentable and comfortable walking into a business and starting a conversation
  • Able to work independently & stay organized
  • Basic comfort using a smartphone or tablet to log estimates

Nice to Have
  • Previous door-to-door, canvassing, or field sales experience
  • Background in trades, field service, or route-based work
  • Familiarity with navigating Houston

Our Hiring Process
We move fast and keep you in the loop - most candidates hear back within 3 business days of applying.
  • No resume required
  • A few pre-screening questions
  • One in-person interview, about 30 minutes
  • Job offer

Why Fish
  • You set your own schedule - great for balancing classes or other commitments, with consistent hours once you've settled into a rhythm
  • Full paid training, no experience needed
  • Work independently and manage your own route day to day
  • Room to grow - after 6 months, motivated estimators can explore closing sales for additional commission, expanding their hours, and other advancement opportunities
  • Family-owned and operated business - we value our people!
