The Opportunity

This is not a position to simply fill a seat.

Our client is a relationship-driven commercial contractor led by ownership with over 40 years of industry experience. The company is experiencing significant growth, with projects ranging from smaller interior work to complex healthcare and commercial builds exceeding $30 million.

They are seeking a seasoned professional who knows how to run work, protect margin, and operate with an ownership mindset. This role is designed for someone who has been through the challenges of the industry, learned from them, and now knows how to both win and execute profitable work.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage commercial drywall and interiors projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Own project financial performance, with a strong focus on maintaining and improving margins through execution and change orders.

Review and validate estimates, ensuring accuracy and profitability.

Identify and capture change orders and additional scope opportunities.

Manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, and client communication.

Ensure all work is properly documented and approved before execution.

Collaborate directly with ownership on project strategy, client relationships, and company growth.

What Sets This Role Apart

Direct access to ownership with minimal bureaucracy.

A relationship-driven business with repeat clients across healthcare, laboratories, sports and entertainment, and hospitality sectors.

Project sizes continuing to scale from $5 million to $30 million and beyond.

An opportunity to step into a true senior-level role and help shape the future of the company.

Qualifications

15 to 25 or more years of experience in commercial drywall and interiors construction.

Background that includes hands-on field experience.

Proven success as a Project Manager or a hybrid Project Manager and Estimator.

Strong estimating knowledge, even if not currently in a full-time estimating role.

Experience managing projects in the $5 million and above range.

Ability to manage clients, protect margins, and make sound business decisions under pressure.

Compensation

Competitive base salary based on experience.

Performance-based incentives.

Long-term growth opportunity within a stable and expanding organization.
