Description

CPT is seeking an Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Program Analyst - Level III to support the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30) at NSWC Dahlgren. This role directly supports U.S. Navy gun weapon system development, evaluation, and sustainment programs in a collaborative, mission-critical environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of program plans, requirements, and technical documentation for E30 Gun Weapon Systems programs.
  • Review and validate program data, schedules, cost estimates, and technical deliverables against established requirements and standards.
  • Identify discrepancies, risks, and deficiencies and prepare formal IV&V findings reports for government review.
  • Analyze proposed changes to requirements or program baseline and assess impacts on schedule, cost, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain IV&V plans, procedures, and metrics in support of program oversight activities.
  • Coordinate with program management and engineering teams to track the resolution of IV&V findings.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in program analysis, systems engineering, or IV&V activities.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting independent assessments of program documentation and technical deliverables.
  • Familiarity with verification and validation methodologies applicable to defense acquisition programs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Active Secret clearance required.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience with IV&V activities supporting Navy or DoD weapon systems programs.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD or DoD systems engineering standards.
  • Experience at NSWC Dahlgren or a comparable naval warfare center.
