Job description

Literally Media is a modern media company that owns and operates a collection of highly successful humor and entertainment websites and boasts the #1 comedy network on Comscore.

Our portfolio of iconic digital brands includes eBaum’s World, Cheezburger, Know Your Meme, Cracked, and Den of Geek, which dominate the entertainment market with over 40 million users a month and 300 million+ monthly video views.

We're launching a new YouTube channel focused on AI and its impact on women's lives and careers and are looking for a creator who wants to help build the channel from the ground up and become the key voice behind it.

This isn't a traditional hosting gig. We're looking for someone who can help shape the editorial direction, identify the stories that matter, and turn complex developments into compelling, preferably viral, video content. We’re looking for a true owner for this project- from ideation to being the fave on camera, to guiding the video editor, to finding interesting collaborators.

We’re looking to partner up with someone who can read a white paper in the morning, write a tight script about it by lunch, host the segment on camera by the afternoon, and be in charge of its quick editing for all relevant platforms.

The AI world produces hundreds of developments every week: model launches, research breakthroughs, funding announcements, policy debates, and new products that could reshape how we live and work. We're interested in finding someone who understands what's relevant and what is noise and can explain it clearly.

We're especially interested in people who have strong opinions, good editorial instincts, and the ability to connect with an audience. Sometimes that may mean interviewing guests. Sometimes it may mean delivering a solo take. Either way, we're looking for someone who wants to help define the voice of the channel.

Video editing experience is a plus, though you'll be collaborating with an editor. More important is an understanding of what makes video content engaging and watchable.

Location: NYC

Scope: This role is available on either a full-time or contract basis and is expected to require approximately 40 hours per week.

Start Date: ASAP

Salary range: $6k-$7.5k monthly depending on experience
