Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Troy, MI

Schedule: 6am - 2:30pm (M-F)

Description:

As a Paint Technician, this individual is tasked with performing exterior paint work on vehicles in a low volume production setting. This paint work is done at the production standards commensurate with OEM production paint work. We utilize solvent based to complete various projects in house.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare the car or parts for paint application Final masking off vehicle once in paint booth, properly cleaning vehicle or parts to prevent contamination, checking that car is properly prepped and masked.
  • Ability to weigh and mix paint as required by program specifications
  • Painting vehicle or certain parts of components on that vehicle using base coat and clear coat application
  • Color matching and paint blending parts on refinish repairs
  • Other duties may be assigned by Management, based on business needs

Qualifications:

  • Valid drivers license
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of paint experience in a collision or aftermarket paint setting

Requires the Following Skills:

  • Must be able to multi-task while ensuring follow up and execution of required tasks
  • Ability to paint an entire vehicle while ensuring the highest quality
  • High degree of organization and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing to assist peers, teach and help out as well as exude flexibility

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 5 75 lbs.
  • Requires moderate to high level of physical activity
