Unleash your talent and redefine what's possible. Job Description: Vaxcom Services LLC (a Parsons company) is looking for an amazingly talented Security Site Supervisor to join our team! In this role you will get to lead and manage the shift security operations of a team of armed security guards at a sensitive site. What You'll Be Doing: * Lead a team of armed Security Officers in their day-to-day operations. * Control access to facility by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting vehicles, and ensuring all personnel entering the site have the proper identification. This includes performing security patrols of the site via foot, bike, or vehicle. * Responds to situations on site using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established Use of Force Policy. * Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents that may occur during day or night. * Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity. * Maintains proficiency and safety in the use of all assigned equipment, control devices, and weapon systems. * Enforces Post Orders, company/Customer rules, and facility regulations. * Complete mandatory training and recertification programs annually. * Assists management in maintaining and enhancing program performance over time.
* Acts as a resource to managers and employees in the program and customer organization, with problem solving skills.
* Maintains and builds relationships with the Customer and other stakeholders. What Required Skills You'll Bring: * Bachelors Degree and 2+ years of related physical security experience or high school diploma plus 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
* 2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience at any level.
* Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Demonstrated experience in working with Customer leadership and the Program Manager on a daily basis to address issues, changes, and modifications that will impact job requirements.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
* Must possess (at the time of application) an active/current TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
* Must have ability to pass a physical fitness test (run, push-ups, sit-ups, and a crawl) and firearms qualification standards (pistol and rifle). What Desired Skills You'll Bring: * 4+ years experience as an armed security guard.
* 2+ years experience as a supervisor/manager of 10+ people with demonstrated ability to mentor and coach employees.
* 2+ years experience in either law enforcement, Department of Corrections or the US Military.
* Experience working at a sensitive or secure site. Security Clearance Requirement: An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.
