Position Summary

The Color Technician is responsible for accurately matching customer-provided color samples and supporting production operations through ink preparation, equipment maintenance, and inventory control. This role works closely with press operators and supervisors to ensure consistent color quality and production efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accurately match customer color samples to required specifications.
  • Utilize and understand the Pantone Matching System (PMS).
  • Prepare, adjust, and maintain ink formulations as needed.
  • Maintain and clean color-matching and mixing equipment.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of inks and support supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with press operators and supervisors regarding color requirements and adjustments.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in ink color matching required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of color matching systems.
  • Flexographic printing knowledge is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions in English.
  • Strong math skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work overtime as required, including Saturdays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
