Position: Applications Analyst

Department: Information Technology

Report to: Chief Technology Officer

Location: Boston, MA

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of new and improvement of existing business applications.
  • Work with various Investment teams, Trading and other business units to design, develop and maintain solutions that will enhance performance, automate workflows and reduce errors.
  • Support existing systems.

Qualifications and Technical Skills:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Five plus years of software development experience with strong analysis, design, and modeling skills. Financial services industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming along with database modeling and design, primarily using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in using C# and/or Java for back-end development.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, TFVC).
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with one or more of the following will be considered a plus:
    • Charles River Investment Management System
    • Markit EDM Platform
    • Data Warehouse Platforms
    • Front-end web frameworks like Angular/React
    • Large Language Models like GPT

Special Requirements

  • Job may require working beyond regular business hours on an as needed basis.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $135,000-$180,000.

It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered. In addition to the base salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
