Job description

Position Summary
M3 Engineering & Technology is seeking a full-time Mechanical / Piping Engineer specializing in material handling systems. This role is responsible for the design, specification, and procurement of industrial equipment and piping systems used in bulk material handling, including grinding mills, crushing equipment, conveyors, and associated piping systems. The ideal candidate will have experience designing complex material handling and piping systems and supporting multidisciplinary projects.

Key Responsibilities

· Work under the supervision of a senior engineer to support project execution

· Perform calculations and design mechanical equipment and piping systems, including:

    • Conveyors
    • Chutes, hoppers, bins, and tanks
    • Dust collection systems
    • Process and mechanical equipment
    • Industrial piping systems and layouts

· Develop piping layouts, routing, and support designs in coordination with other disciplines

· Prepare specifications and assist with analysis and procurement of materials, piping, and equipment

· Maintain and update equipment and line lists

· Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and departments to meet project goals

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field

· Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience (mechanical and/or piping)

· Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software (Inventor, Revit, or similar)

· Experience with piping design, layouts, and isometrics preferred

· Ability to travel domestically and internationally to support project sites and other M3 offices

· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

· Ability to manage schedules and work effectively in a team environment with limited supervision

· Professional communication skills with clients and colleagues

· Valid passport or ability to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in material handling and industrial piping systems
  • Experience serving as a discipline lead on multidisciplinary design and construction projects
