Pool Title POOL - Assistant Baseball Coach (Part-time) Pool Number S06-18 Announcement Summary
This is a continuous recruitment pool not specifically advertised. 
The pool is continuous in order to develop a qualified pool of interested candidates. 
We invite applications to be submitted for potential openings.
Duties
The Assistant Baseball Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Baseball Coach in planning, managing, coordinating, operating, and evaluating the Baseball program at the College. 
Reporting to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, this position is expected to adhere to the responsibilities of competitive success, the academic success of students, fiscal responsibility, and rules compliance within the parameters set forth by the NJCAA. 
Assist Head Coach to advise student-athletes and staff of applicable intercollegiate athletic rules, regulations, and College policies and ensure compliance of such regulations. 
Assist Head Coach to recruit, advise, and sign student-athletes for team participation. 
Inform student-athletes of academic and other matters pertaining to their enrollment and educational progress. 
Plan and direct athletic skill development for student-athletes. 
Ensure appropriate safety measures are observed when conducting team activities 
Work within budgetary guidelines established by the College. 
Coordinate all activities in preparation for scheduled competition. 
Attend all team practices and home and away contests. 
In coordination with the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Head Coach, monitor student-athlete academic performance and implement team, athletic department, and College measures to support their academic performance. 
Assists with student-athlete compliance with all NJCAA rules and regulations. 
Assists in resolving cases where a student-athlete violates an applicable regulation. 
Work with Athletic Staff with alumni student groups, College administration and community groups to seek support for the team. 
Responsible for additional tasks as assigned to further advance the college and student success.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree and playing/coaching experience at the secondary, post-secondary, or collegiate coaching experience, or combined equivalence. 
A valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
A valid CDL, class B, with a P endorsement
