Job description

Join the team at New Jersey’s largest wine and spirits distributor! At Allied Beverage Group, we’re proud of our dynamic, family-based culture and our role in keeping the beverage industry moving. If you're looking for a great company with great people—this is the place to be!

Overview

The Senior Manager, Collector and Icon Wine Growth will drive statewide growth of the company's Luxury, Icon, and Collector wine portfolio ($50+, $100+, and highly limited availability wines) through strategic retail point-of-distribution (POD) expansion, account-tailored limited offerings, presell and new item launch management, category resets, and high NSV retail activation opportunities. Operating at a senior level with significant autonomy, this role collaboratively builds and executes a strategic plan for company fine wine growth with direct accountability for revenue and distribution ROI. Success in this role requires sophisticated relationship-building with retailers who have the capacity for high NSV wine sales, along with the ability to design and execute bespoke consumer activations — including sampling events, curated dinners, and educational experiences — that engage high-net-worth consumers and collectors.

Responsibilities
  • Collaboratively build and execute an annual statewide growth strategy for the Collector and Icon wine segments, in partnership with the VP of Wine Portfolio Management
  • Own direct accountability for ROI on assigned house-funded and supplier-funded budgets
  • Set and track KPIs for revenue growth and distribution growth across the Luxury ($50+), Icon ($100+), and Highly Limited Availability segments
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with retail accounts across the state that have the capacity for high NSV wine sales
  • Lead point-of-distribution (POD) expansion initiatives specific to the Collector and Icon wine portfolio
  • Develop account-tailored limited offerings; manage presell and new item launch execution across the retail base
  • Lead category resets in key accounts to optimize shelf placement, visibility, and assortment for Icon and Collector segment wines
  • Identify and execute high NSV retail activation opportunities in partnership with account decision-makers
  • Design and execute bespoke consumer activations — including sampling events, curated dinners, and educational experiences — that engage high-net-worth consumers and collectors
  • Build and maintain relationships with trade and supplier partners connected to the Icon and Collector portfolio
  • Manage house-funded and supplier-funded budgets in alignment with plan and approval guidelines
  • Provide regular reporting to the VP of Wine Portfolio Management on progress against revenue and distribution KPIs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (e.g., B.A., B.S., B.B.A.)
  • Proven track record of ROI based portfolio management within the wine or spirits industry, including experience managing luxury or ultra premium price segments
  • Demonstrated success building and executing statewide or multi account growth strategies
  • Experience managing supplier funded and house funded budgets
  • Experience engaging and building relationships with high net worth clientele
  • Advanced negotiation and financial acumen, including budget and P&L management
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate data into actionable growth plans
  • Polished presentation and relationship building skills
  • Proficiency with PCs, iPads, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM and reporting tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must possess a valid drivers license
  • Must be able to obtain a Solicitor's Permit and Transit Insignia
  • WSET Level 2 or higher preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience
Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 to $120,000, depending on qualifications such as experience, education, and skillset. In addition to salary, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus and offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K plan with company match, Life Insurance, Long Term Disability, Flexible Spending Account, Employee Assistance Program, Pet Insurance Plan and more.
