Job description

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support financial operations for a long-term remote contract opportunity based in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. This position will be Part Time and a Maximum of 20 hours per week, averaging around 15 hours per week. This role focuses on maintaining accurate receivables records, applying incoming payments, and helping ensure timely customer payment activity. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment in resolving account issues, and a solid background in billing and commercial collections.
Responsibilities: • Process customer invoices and maintain accurate accounts receivable records to support day-to-day financial operations. • Apply incoming payments promptly and reconcile cash activity to ensure account balances remain current and accurate. • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with commercial customers to secure timely payment. • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment variances, and account-related questions in coordination with internal teams and clients. • Prepare account summaries, aging updates, and collection status information for reporting and review. • Support routine billing activities by verifying transaction details and ensuring invoices are issued correctly. • Maintain organized documentation of payment activity, collection efforts, and account adjustments for audit readiness.In order to be contacted for this position, candidates MUST be based in the Eastern or Central Time Zone and have experience in: detail oriented services or consulting firm billing Time & Materials invoicing QuickBooks Online administration and reporting Contract and milestone-based billing Independent ownership of the full billing cycle
