Job description

Job Summary: The Accounting Operations Analyst is an entry-level role which will support multiple segments of the accounting department, including but not limited to: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Deductions Management, Budgeting, Product Costing, Analysis and General Accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform journal entries and other close-related tasks and analysis
  • Reconcile account balances
  • Research and address accounts receivable issues, outstanding balances and terms of payment
  • Resolve customer deductions by researching causation (including working in customer portals), providing documentation for collections or applying to appropriate expense accounts
  • Process vendor invoices, contact vendors to address accounts payable issues, outstanding balances and terms of payment
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Support various internal and external audits by preparing supporting schedules
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments and teams with dependencies on accounting processes
  • Proficiently navigate company systems
  • Other duties as assigned
  • B.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
  • 1-5 years of accounting experience
  • Cost accounting and inventory management preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 a plus
  • Excel skills must be that of a spreadsheet creator using functions, pivot tables and formulas to manipulate data
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Demonstrates initiative by looking for ways to improve efficiency and willingness to take on new assignments
