Job Description
This is a semi-skilled position located in the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Public Works Department. The incumbent in this position is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utilities including, but not limited to, the water distribution system, sewer collection system, and storm drainage systems. High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience working on drinking water distribution system or related field is required. Possession of a License as Distribution System Operator is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Must have knowledge of safety practices and procedures related to distribution systems. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and instruction manuals. Ability to perform task with minimal supervision and direction from management. Ability to direct, operate and make maintenance repairs in all phases of the utility system. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be on call 24 hours, seven (7) days per week, and able to work evenings, weekends, holidays and on declared emergencies.
