Job description

Job Title: Billing Specialist (Legal) Location: Salem, OR Salary Range: $25-$32 per hour DOE Employment Type: Direct Hire, Fully Onsite, Full Time Our client is seeking a full-time Billing Specialist for their office in Salem, OR. The ideal candidate should have excellent accounting and communication skills, accounts payable experience, and experience in legal billing coordination. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and maintain contact with clients to follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve payment issues.
  • Review billing statements and accounts receivable aging reports to prioritize collection efforts.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement terms when necessary.
  • Document all collection activities and maintain accurate records.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Billing and Collections team to identify and address systemic issues affecting collections.
  • Generate collection reports and provide regular updates on accounts receivable status.
  • Maintain professionalism and adhere to all legal and ethical standards in collections practices.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.
Qualifications:
  • MUST have legal billing experience.
  • Familiarity with billing and collections software and accounting systems.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
