Position Summary
Catholic Charities of Northwest California (CCNWC) seeks a part-time Interfaith Coordinator to deepen relationships with faith communities across the North Coast and North Bay service area and strengthen interfaith support for our mission. The Interfaith Coordinator will serve as a vital bridge between CCNWC and local faith-based communities; promoting awareness, service, and philanthropy rooted in social justice and care for the poor and vulnerable. This position will focus on building strong partnerships that increase engagement and help achieve annual fundraising goals through appeals, second collections, and special initiatives.
Essential Functions
Parish Relationship Building
1. Maintain regular, relationship-centered communication with assigned faith communities and leadership.
2. Coordinate faith community visits, brief presentations, appeals, second collections, donation drives, and service opportunities in partnership with Development and Community Engagement.
3. Represent CCNWC at assigned faith community events and help connect interested groups to the appropriate CCNWC staff lead.
Fundraising and Development Support
1. Support Development-led faith community fundraising efforts by coordinating logistics, sharing approved materials, and reporting partner feedback.
2. Help identify prospective donors, ambassadors, and partner contacts and refer them to Development for cultivation, stewardship, and donor strategy.
3. Coordinate assigned in-kind donation needs by gathering approved program requests, communicating needs to faith partners, tracking commitments, and supporting timely acknowledgement.
Communication and Outreach
1. Share approved CCNWC impact stories, educational materials, bulletin content, flyers, and announcements with faith partners in coordination with the Director of Communications and Marketing.
2. Provide community feedback, story leads, photos, and partner updates to Communications and Development for review, approval, and appropriate use.
3. Ensure all public-facing materials and messaging follow CCNWC communication standards and are approved before distribution.
Reporting and Coordination
1. Track assigned outreach contacts, activities, donation commitments, faith community participation, and follow-up items in the designated agency system.
2. Submit concise monthly reports summarizing outreach activities, funds raised, and engagement metrics.
3. Participate in periodic team meetings and coordinate priorities with Development, Community Engagement, and Communications staff.
One Agency
1. Support the Mission, Vision, and Values of CCNWC in the performance of all essential job functions and responsibilities.
2. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations to the workplace or work processes.
Other Responsibilities
1. Communicate closely with the Diocese of Santa Rosa and other faith communities.
2. Evening and weekend availability required for occasional parish events, services and Masses.
3. The Interfaith Coordinator is a hybrid/remote position in CCNWC's regional six-county territory, with a primary focus in Sonoma and Napa counties.[AF1] [CD2] [GU3] [AF4]
4. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required
1. High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Relevant experience in interfaith or faith-based engagement, community outreach, nonprofit development, relationship building, or a related public-facing role.
1. Familiarity of Catholic parish structure and Catholic Social Teaching preferred, with the ability to learn and effectively communicate these principles. Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills and ability to connect CCNWC's mission to the values and priorities of diverse faith communities, congregations, clergy, and lay leaders required.
3. Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working independently, ability to produce accurate and thorough work and to monitor work for quality. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently.
4. Prior experience with Catholic Charities, diocesan development, or parish fundraising, familiarity with donor management systems, preferred.
5. Dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and to use feedback to improve performance to successfully complete essential functions with timeliness and organization.
6. Ability to make appropriate decisions based on training and experience when faced with multiple options.
7. Demonstrated proficiency with or ability to learn Office 365 and databases; willingness to learn and apply new software and platforms as necessary for the work.
8. Ability to communicate, orally and in writing, clearly and respectfully with clients and colleagues, individually, and in group settings.
9. Passion and enthusiasm for the mission of Catholic Charities and its clients.
10. Possess valid driver's license; at least state required minimum of auto insurance. Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the region
11. Must pass DOJ background clearance (fingerprinting) in accordance with the Diocese of Santa Rosa's policies, prior to start of employment.
