Job description

TonaLaw is seeking a driven and ambitious Associate Attorney to join our growing litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with at least two years of experience who is looking to build a long-term career in personal injury litigation and no-fault collections.


In this role, you will work closely with experienced senior attorneys and gain hands-on exposure to every stage of the litigation process. From case intake through settlement, arbitration, and trial preparation, you will play an active role in case strategy, client advocacy, and courtroom appearances. This position offers meaningful mentorship, professional development, and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your skills grow.


Candidates must reside in New York and be admitted to practice law in New York.

Compensation:

$100,000 DOE


Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for and appear at arbitrations, court conferences, motions, depositions, and other routine proceedings
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and next steps
  • Conduct legal research and analyze case law, liability, damages, and medical records
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, legal correspondence, and appellate filings
  • Manage personal injury cases from intake through resolution, including legal research, case analysis, and case strategy development

Qualifications:
  • Eagerness to learn, develop litigation skills, and grow within the firm
  • JD from an accredited law school is required
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Minimum of 2 years of legal experience preferably in personal injury and/or no-fault collections
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
