PR & Events Sales Manager
EnVue, Autograph Collection by Marriott - Weehawken, NJ

Position Summary
Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven PR & Events Sales Manager to elevate the visibility, reputation, and event business of the award-winning EnVue, Autograph Collection.
This role combines public relations, community engagement, event sales, and hotel marketing to drive revenue while positioning EnVue as one of the premier luxury destinations in the New York metropolitan area.
The successful candidate will cultivate relationships with local businesses, media, influencers, wedding and event planners, tourism organizations, and community partners while generating group, catering, social, and special event business. This individual will also lead the execution of signature events that showcase the hotel's unique rooftop views, culinary offerings, and luxury guest experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Public Relations & Community Engagement
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive public relations strategy to increase awareness of EnVue and its food & beverage outlets.
  • Build relationships with local media, tourism organizations, chambers of commerce, influencers, and community partners.
  • Coordinate media visits, press events, hotel tours, and promotional campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Marriott and Corporate Marketing on brand initiatives and promotional opportunities.
  • Manage community outreach and represent the hotel at networking events, industry functions, trade shows, and local business organizations.
  • Identify sponsorship opportunities that increase hotel visibility and strengthen community partnerships.
Event & Group Sales
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities for:
    • Social Events
    • Corporate Meetings
    • Holiday Parties
    • Weddings
    • Galas
    • Fundraisers
    • Networking Events
    • Private Dining
    • Rooftop Events
    • Small Group Business (25 rooms or fewer)
  • Respond to all sales inquiries and RFPs within established timeframes.
  • Conduct hotel site inspections and client presentations.
  • Develop proposals, contracts, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Negotiate pricing while maximizing profitability.
  • Upsell food & beverage, audiovisual services, guest rooms, and additional hotel amenities.
Event Planning & Execution
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and hotel operations throughout the planning process.
  • Coordinate event details with Banquets, Culinary, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Engineering.
  • Prepare detailed event resumes and communicate all client expectations to operating departments.
  • Ensure flawless execution of meetings and events while maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct post-event follow-up to strengthen relationships and generate repeat business.
Sales & Revenue Generation
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community engagement.
  • Maintain existing client relationships while developing new accounts.
  • Maximize banquet, catering, meeting room, restaurant, and guest room revenues.
  • Track sales activities and maintain accurate CRM documentation.
Marketing & Brand Promotion
  • Partner with Corporate Marketing to promote hotel events and special offers.
  • Assist with content creation for social media and promotional campaigns.
  • Coordinate influencer visits and media partnerships.
  • Support Marriott marketing initiatives and local promotional programs.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends and competitive activity.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-4 years of hotel sales, catering, events, public relations, or hospitality marketing experience.
  • Marriott experience strongly preferred.
  • Luxury or upscale hotel experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
  • Proven success generating new business and building long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Experience creating BEOs, contracts, and event resumes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems (CI/TY, Delphi, Opera, or similar platforms preferred).
