This Litigation Attorney role manages the day-to-day execution of personal injury litigation matters from intake through resolution. Success requires building a clear case strategy, moving discovery forward on schedule, and delivering strong settlements grounded in thorough medical and damages analysis. You will maintain a high-volume docket while providing practical, responsive client counsel and exercising sound judgment at each stage of litigation.


Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate new and existing personal injury matters by analyzing liability, causation, damages, and evidentiary strengths and risks.
  • Develop case strategy and litigation plans with clear milestones, budgeting assumptions, and resolution pathways tailored to each file.
  • Counsel clients throughout the lifecycle of the case by explaining options, setting expectations, and delivering timely, actionable updates.
  • Open new files by confirming key facts, identifying responsible parties and insurance coverage, and calendaring all critical deadlines.
  • Drive discovery by drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission, and by coordinating document collection and production.
  • Prepare for and support depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation events by organizing exhibits, outlining examinations, and coordinating witness preparation as needed.
  • Review medical records, billing, liens, wage-loss documentation, and other damages materials to support demand packages and settlement positions.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel, insurers, and adjusters by advocating case value and documenting agreements accurately and promptly.
  • Manage a large caseload by prioritizing tasks, maintaining well-organized files, and meeting litigation deadlines with urgency and attention to detail.
  • Lead case execution by coordinating with paralegals, legal assistants, and other internal resources to ensure consistent follow-through and quality work product.
  • Produce clear written work product, including correspondence, case notes, discovery responses, and client-facing explanations of complex issues.


Required Skills:


  • Active Georgia Bar license in good standing.
  • At least 5 years of personal injury litigation experience.
  • Experience managing all phases of a personal injury case, including case evaluation, strategy development, and client counseling.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and settle cases using well-supported demands grounded in medical records and damages documentation.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and medical issues clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume docket while maintaining organization, urgency, and attention to detail.
  • Experience opening new files, creating litigation plans, and executing discovery through resolution.


Preferred Skills:


  • Trial experience, including preparing cases for trial and supporting courtroom proceedings.
  • Working knowledge of Florida personal injury law.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
