Job description

Position Purpose:
The Network Systems Manager is responsible for the leadership, strategy, and operational execution of the Network Systems Department across Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College. This role provides technical leadership, team management, and strategic planning to ensure the organization's infrastructure is secure, reliable, and aligned with ministry objectives. The Network Systems Manager leads a team and is accountable for performance, project delivery, and continuous improvement of infrastructure services across multiple domestic and international locations.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, operational discipline, technical depth, and the ability to collaborate effectively with IT leadership and ministry stakeholders. Due to the nature of this role, the ideal candidate will be a graduate of Charis Bible College, understand the ministry's vision, and have experience supporting a large, multi-site, or international organization.
Essential Duties:
  • Manage all IT Network System-related needs, initiatives, and operations for AWM and Charis Bible College
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Network Systems team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Manage hiring, onboarding, training, and staff development.
  • Ensure availability, performance, and reliability of core infrastructure services.
  • Manage enterprise environments: LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, server and cloud infrastructure, storage and backups, disaster recovery, identity and access management, telephony, and collaboration systems.
  • Ensure monitoring, alerting, proactive maintenance, patch management, and maintain documentation and architecture diagrams.
  • Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.
  • Partner with IT leadership to develop technology roadmaps and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure projects are properly scoped, resourced, and delivered on time.
  • Provide regular project updates to the Director of IT Operations.
  • Identify opportunities for infrastructure improvements and modernization.
  • Participate in long-term planning for global IT expansion.
  • Develop and maintain standards, procedures, and operational workflows.
  • Establish and maintain SLAs for infrastructure services.
  • Improve operational efficiency through automation and standardization.
  • Ensure proper incident management and root cause analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement within Network Systems operations.
  • Maintain infrastructure security standards and best practices.
  • Oversee vulnerability management and remediation.
  • Participate in security audits and risk assessments.
  • Ensure proper access controls and identity management practices.
  • Other tasks as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience in technical support, Network infrastructure (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls), backups, data protection, VOIP and collaboration systems, Exchange, and Project Management.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • DNS, DHCP, Subnets, IIS, SAN/NAS environments, Office 365, Microsoft 365, Azure AD server/computer hardware, Active Directory, Group Policies, data protection, disaster recovery plans, backups, and Cloud services.
  • Strong background in VMWare (Horizon, ESXi, and vSphere). Cisco Collab experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Dell servers, laptops, desktops, and APC power and distribution systems.
  • Ability to write technical job descriptions and interview applicants for different roles within the Network Systems Department.

Requirements:
  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience.
  • Ability and willingness to be on-call and support after-hours work when required.
  • Must pass all required checks.

Experience:
  • Managing, developing, administering, and supporting a Windows domain server environment across multiple sites.
  • Proven IT and Project Management process improvement and documentation skills.
  • 3+ years of leadership or team management experience preferred.
  • Managing corporate-wide infrastructure lifestyle planning.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
