Job description:

The Cole Academy provides Hawaii's finest nationally accredited early childhood education and childcare for children ages 6 weeks through 6 years. Our preschool and daycare services are available year-round and island-wide, including Honolulu, Mililani, Kapolei, Windward Oahu, and Hawaii Island (Kona-Kohala).

We have continuous recruitment at all of our campuses for Preschool Lead Teachers and Infant/Toddler Lead Caregivers, for full-time, part-time and substitute/on-call roles.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible, under the supervision of the Center Director, to establish and implement goals and objectives using our developmentally appropriate curriculum that meet the individual needs of the children
  • Establish and maintain regular, on-going communication with parents
  • Maintain positive, nurturing attitude towards each individual child; and utmost, to ensure the health and safety of the children in the care of the Academy.
  • Follows Cole Academy policies and procedures, DHS licensing rules and regulations, and NECPA guidelines for developmentally appropriate practices for preschoolers.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • For Lead positions: Education and experience required for the I/T "Lead Caregiver" and GCC "Teacher" qualification under DHS Early Childhood Registry.
  • No experience necessary for Aide & Assistant positions, so if your qualifications do not meet this job posting, you may apply to instead be considered for an aide or assistant role, but those positions come with a different wage scale commensurate with these entry- or mid-career roles.
