Job description

Warehouse And Dock Worker

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Safely load and unload trailers, ensuring proper handling of temperature-sensitive products.

  • Verify and inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quality, and condition.

  • Stage and organize pallets in designated dock areas for efficient loading or storage.

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as needed.

  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, ensuring all documentation is completed and submitted correctly.

  • Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to prioritize dock assignments and meet shipping schedules.

  • Follow cold storage handling procedures to maintain product quality and safety.

  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety of the dock and surrounding work areas.

  • Report equipment issues, safety hazards, or discrepancies immediately to supervision.

Qualifications And Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, dock, or cold storage environment preferred.

  • Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely (certification preferred or provided by employer).

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow shipping/receiving procedures accurately.

  • Comfortable working in cold environments for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, as required by operational needs.
