THE ROLE

The Purchasing Warehouse Manageris responsible forcoordinating and executing warehouseoperations, ordering and proceduresin order toensure departmental effectivenessand efficiency so that all product,supplyand equipment needs are met throughoutthe venue. Under the direction of the GM this individual willbe responsible fortheordering, and the planning and preparation process for events and assigning tasksand delegating responsibilities to warehouse staff. A top priority will be to ensure thatthe highest levels of safety, organization and sanitation aremaintainedthroughout allwarehousing and storage areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All ordering of product and confirming delivery and tracking in yellow dog.

  • Ensure thecontrol procedures are being used for cataloging, inventory control, bulk storage and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies andassistinmaintainingthis supplysystem.

  • Coordinate all warehousing activities with management team and warehouse team,scheduling, payroll andmonitoringthe labor cost and effective use of employees.

  • Receive store and distribute supplies and equipment inlarge, centralizedwarehousing operations and make sure they are delivered to the stands/pods prior togame day.

  • Use storage systems,policiesand procedures to ensure maximum use and efficiencyof space and storage areas in warehousing operations.

  • Submit reports of damage, outdatedstockor supplies, over and under shipments,return of goods tovendors, etc.

  • Contact vendors to reconcile invoice discrepancies, shortages, over shipments or toarrange for emergency shipments or requisitions.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.

  • Perform other related duties,tasksand responsibilities asrequiredfrom time totime.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • College Degree Preferred

  • Forklift trained

  • Fiveyears' experiencein the receipt, storage or distribution of food and beverage,supplies or equipment, including at least 3 yearsat the supervisory level in anentertainment or convention center venue.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to promote andparticipatein a team environment.

  • Ability to understand written and oral direction in English and to communicate samewith others.

  • Requires lifting of up to 50 pounds in weight (boxes), pushing, pulling, loading,bending, crouching, in Coolers and Freezers and outside in all weather.

  • This is anoutside venue, and the season starts in February and runstillDecember.

  • Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights,weekendsand holidays,especially on event dates. The expectation of event daysisyou are on premisestillyour teamcompletesall tasks.

  • Follow and encourage your team to follow all safety policies and procedures, includingbut not limited to looking for and reporting any unsafe work conditions, and completecompany-wide safety training and anyadditionaljob specific safety training.

  • Report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) into the company's risk managementsystem (Origami Risk) on the same day that the safety incident has been reported toyou.

COMPENSATION

Competitive salaryrange of $65,000 - $75,000commensuratewith experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
