Job Title: Sales Engineer (Data Center - Industrial Refrigeration)
Location: Remote - U.S.
Employment Type: Salaried direct employee

Compensation: $120K target, up to $130K base plus lucrative commission
Schedule: M-F days

The ideal candidate will have extensive front-line customer facing sales experience with broad refrigeration industry knowledge. Experience selling to data centers is a strong plus due to knowledge of commercial and industrial cooling systems and related power needs.

About the Opportunity:
The Sales Engineer (Industrial Refrigeration) is responsible for developing and growing sales opportunities across industrial refrigeration and process cooling markets. This role combines technical expertise with business development to identify customer needs, provide engineered solutions, and support customers throughout the sales cycle. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial refrigeration systems, heat transfer equipment, evaporative cooling, ammonia systems, CO₂ systems, or related industrial cooling applications.

The position involves prospecting, cold calling, developing client relationships, negotiating opportunities, and securing new business through various communication channels.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop new business opportunities within industrial refrigeration, cold storage, food processing, manufacturing, and process cooling markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, OEMs, end users, and refrigeration system integrators.
  • Identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate cooling and heat exchange solutions.
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and project documentation.
  • Work closely with Application Engineering and Product Management teams to develop customized solutions.
  • Conduct product presentations, technical training sessions, and customer visits.
  • Support project specification activities and assist customers with equipment selection.
  • Maintain and grow a healthy sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and account management.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track opportunities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts.
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies within industrial refrigeration.

  • Knowledge of IIAR, ASHRAE, and refrigeration industry standards.
  • Experience working with contractors, consulting engineers, and refrigeration system designers.
