Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Visually inspect equipment and/or truck and trailer for safe operation
  • Operate vehicles, track mobile, screen plants, unload conveyors, radial stacker, skid steer & stationary equipment
  • Aid in all site clean-up and site maintenance
  • Maintain all required logs and Equipment inspection records
  • Follow all M-Bar-D & American Crystal Sugar safety rules on site, and at all factories
  • Keep coal / limestone / coke free of contaminates for delivery to coal storage bunker or stockpile at customer
  • Continually watch for moving equipment and hazards that could harm you or any other co-worker.
  • All other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Audio & visual acuity
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces
  • Ability to climb in and out of various equipment
  • Heavy work, lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Stoop / bend / kneel / crouch / balance / climb on an occasional basis
  • Wear protective equipment such as hard hat, hearing protection, safety-toe boots, and safety glasses

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
  • Exposure on a regular basis to outdoor weather conditions
  • Exposure to coal dust from coal unloading, stacking operations, truck unloading
  • Exposure to silica dust from limestone unloading
  • Exposure to gasoline and fuel vapors when fueling trucks and equipment
  • Demonstrated math, reading, and writing skills

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License Preferred
  • Ability to work in a high dust environment with PPE
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated math, reading, and writing skills
  • Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland L.P.
