Motor Winder

Resource Group is currently seeking a skilled Winder to join a reputable manufacturing company. The Motor Winder will be responsible for rewinding, repairing, and assembling electromagnetic components in industrial motors and generators. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform coil winding, rewinding, and assembling of stator and rotor components.
  • Inspect, test, and repair motor windings using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Follow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for repairs and builds.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Ensure all work complies with company quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to optimize processes.
  • Understand and follow all Safety processes and procedures including the use of required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Read job cards to determine job status, work authorization/limitations, estimate, description of problems and/or work scope.
  • Accurately read and record winding data from units being rewound.
  • Wind AC, DC Fields, Armatures, wound rotors and equalizers.
  • Install and or replace banding of an armature or rotor
  • Perform stator core loss testing and record in technical traveler.
  • Perform the restoration of stator irons as needed.
  • Work with winding random, mush, synchronous, and form coils.
  • Perform a battery of electrical tests.
  • Dip and bake stators as required by the technical traveler.
  • Utilize bake ovens to cure varnish treatments.
  • Keep work area Safe, clean and organized.
  • Perform all other duties as signed by the Production Manager.
