Pay: $18-$20

Shift: 5am to 1:30pm

Job Description

The Coil Winder sets up and programs lathe machines to perform precise coil winding for transformers, using a variety of tools and techniques to produce high-quality coils in different sizes. Project timelines vary, and the role includes minimal aluminum welding as part of each project.

Responsibilities

  • Program and operate lathe machines to initiate and complete the coil winding process for transformer components.
  • Wind a range of coils in different sizes according to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret transformer blueprints to determine coil dimensions, winding patterns, and technical requirements.
  • Use a tape measure accurately to verify dimensions and ensure coils meet precise measurement tolerances.
  • Perform tasks using a variety of power and hand tools safely and efficiently during the coil winding process.

Essential Skills

  • Experience programming and running a lathe machine for manufacturing or coil winding applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifically for transformers and related components.
  • Proficiency using power tools and hand tools to perform mechanical and fabrication tasks.
  • Skill in soldering, including heating and melting materials to form durable bonds.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fombell, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
