This position will manage and administer the EEE graduate program empowering graduate students to be active, responsible learners while guiding them to make well-informed decisions that lead to the achievement of students' educational, career, and life goals. Guide graduate students in course selection and the development of their plan of study. Maintain a consistent pattern of contact and communication with graduate student. Use data to provide timely outreach to students on their academic progress and conduct audits on student degree progress. Develop and implement a graduate orientation program. Oversee, with a faculty member, the introductory graduate seminar in EEE. Work with the chair of the graduate committee to process incoming applications.

What You'll Be Doing:
Graduate Student Advising and Educating
Provide academic advising to graduate students; assess other needs and make professional referrals; maintain and ensure confidentiality of student records. Interpret University policies, procedures, and curriculum to students, faculty, staff, and administration. Guide students in course selection and plan of study; assist in resolving academic problems; identify and monitor academic progress.
Program Development and Department Support
Develop and implement a graduate orientation program including both in person and virtual components. Work with the chair of the graduate committee to process incoming applications.
Communications
Maintain a consistent pattern of contact and communication with graduate students to encourage a trusting relationship through multiple channels of communication. Make explicit students' responsibility for their own academic and professional success. Build and maintain contacts with other graduate student advising staff/units.
