Job description

We have partnered with a client for an interim Business Analyst for a 6mth contract on-site. Someone who has worked similar BI rollout projects would be ideal- this role does have the potentially turn into a permanent role if we find the right candidate:
  • Role would be on-site and hourly compensation will be based off experience with a range ($40-$60 per hour)
Responsibilities:
  • Managing the rollout of the new Power BI dashboards to end users
  • Ensure users are testing the dashboards
  • Supporting users switch from their current static Cognos reports to the more interactive Power BI dashboards
  • Capturing issues, prioritizing resolution, feeding requirements back to developers
  • Identifying reporting / information needs not being met
Required Qualifications:
  • Business Analyst / Change Manager type background, ideally sat within a business function rather than purely IT.
  • Previously had a significant role in the rollout of a BI solution (preferably Power BI) into an organization
  • Must have a good understanding of Sales and Finance business areas - processes, metrics used etc.
  • Managed / owned communications between end users and IT ensuring feedback is provided and then followed up.
  • They can understand Power BI / BI solutions enough to have informed conversations with developers although not building the dashboards themselves.
  • Excellent stakeholder and communication skills as all levels - from sales person up to senior management.
