Job description

E-logic is looking for a Cognos Administrator to manage the platform architecture, user licensing, and system security configurations for the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Office of Inspector General (OIG)'s Business Intelligence environment. This role will be hybrid in Washington DC area.


Key Responsibilities


  • Administer and maintain the IBM Cognos server environment deployed on Windows Amazon EC2 instances.
  • Manage security profiles, row-level data restrictions, and role-based permissions ensuring only authorized personnel access sensitive federal data.
  • Monitor system availability, optimize reporting engine performance, and document backup/recovery procedures in line with federal Continuity of Services requirements.

Qualifications


  • Comprehensive administration background with IBM Cognos BI platforms within a cloud or virtualized server setup.
  • Experience enforcing technical access controls for regulatory, healthcare, or financial compliance datasets.
  • 3+ years acting as a system or platform administrator in federal or enterprise settings.
