About the role
As a Technical Consultant, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions that help clients modernize their operations and achieve their business objectives. You will be a valued member of the ServiceNow delivery team and work collaboratively with project managers, technical consultants, business analysts, and customer stakeholders to deliver high-quality platform solutions.
In this role, you will contribute across the full project lifecycle, including requirements analysis, platform configuration, solution development, integrations, testing, and deployment. Depending on experience level, you may also mentor team members, lead technical workstreams, and help uphold development standards and best practices across project teams.
In this role, you will:
Design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow applications, workflows, and platform capabilities that align with client business requirements.
Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems using web services, APIs, and development best practices.
Collaborate with project teams and customer stakeholders to analyze requirements, identify risks, resolve technical issues, and deliver successful solutions.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, support testing activities, and ensure all deliverables meet established quality standards.
Contribute to project delivery by providing status updates, supporting solution design activities, and continuously improving development practices and technical assets.
Technical Consultant II: Mentor and guide less experienced team members, review technical deliverables, and take ownership of more complex solution development activities with minimal supervision.

What you need to have to be considered
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
2+ years of ServiceNow platform development and configuration experience with demonstrated project success.
1+ year of experience in software development, consulting, service management, or a related technical field.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
Hands-on experience developing solutions using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web technologies.
Experience building integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST APIs and web services.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and Agile delivery methodologies.
Experience troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and supporting enterprise applications.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage priorities, work independently, and deliver high-quality results in a collaborative environment.
These will help you stand out
Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM, CMDB, SACM, or other ServiceNow product suites.
Proven experience in an additional ServiceNow product line beyond System Administrator foundations.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations and integrations.
Strong documentation, solution design, and technical analysis capabilities.
Experience reviewing code, test plans, and technical deliverables.
Technical Consultant II: Demonstrated experience mentoring junior consultants and providing technical leadership within project teams.
Proven ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to delivery best practices.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $108K - $125K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
