Position Overview


The Production Team Member plays an important role in producing, packaging, and fulfilling Wonderstate Coffee products while maintaining our standards for quality, food safety, and efficiency. This position supports daily production operations, works collaboratively across the production team, and helps ensure customers receive exceptional products on time.


Core Responsibilities


Production & Fulfillment

  • Roast, grind, package, label, and prepare products according to established procedures (as assigned).
  • Complete daily production, packaging, and fulfillment tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate production equipment safely and according to established procedures.
  • Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping activities.
  • Support production startup, shutdown, and cleaning procedures.

Quality & Food Safety

  • Follow all food safety, SQF, Organic, and quality standards.
  • Perform quality checks throughout the production process.
  • Report product quality, equipment, or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation as required.

Inventory & Organization

  • Receive, stage, organize, and store materials appropriately.
  • Assist with inventory counts and material movement.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe production work areas.

Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

  • Work collaboratively with teammates across production and fulfillment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in different production areas as needed.
  • Participate in process improvements and continuous learning.
  • Embody Wonderstate's mission, values, and commitment to honoring relationships.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, food production, or fulfillment experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience operating production equipment is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn specialty coffee production processes.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to team-lift green coffee bags weighing up to 150 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work around production equipment, varying temperatures, dust, and noise.


Work Environment

  • Monday - Thursday, between 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (schedule may vary based on production needs)
  • Production environment with exposure to coffee dust, machinery, and varying temperatures.
  • Use of required personal protective equipment.
  • Overtime or schedule adjustments may be required to meet production demands.
